MT Højgaard has been involved in the construction of many of the large bridges built in Northern Europe in the past number of years – suspension bridges, cable-stayed bridges and multispan beam bridges.
For example, we have played a leading role as partners in the joint ventures that built the two largest bridges in Denmark to date– the Great Belt Bridge (western part) and the Øresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden.
However, we are not confined exclusively to large bridges, we also build small road and railway bridges, specialising in movable bridges (swing bridges) and all types of prefabricated bridges.
We are also experienced in tunnel construction using TBM machines (hard rock and soft rock), drill and blast or cutting. MT Højgaard has a large portfolio of bridges and tunnels references which support our competences.
