MT Højgaard is one of the leading companies in Northern Europe within offshore foundations for wind turbines, lighthouses, etc. We have actually constructed more foundations for offshore wind turbines than any other company in the world.
As a rule, the offshore foundations are constructed either as steel monopiles placed by driving or drilling or as concrete gravity foundations; however, we are also able to implement special constructions featuring suction buckets and combined steel and concrete structures. The choice of method is made in a cost optimisation process based on loads, soil conditions, water depth, sea state, etc.
We are pleased to be able to offer offshore foundations on an EPC basis, including engineering, procurement and construction of the foundations. MT Højgaard has a large portfolio of offshore foundations references which support our competences.
